Practitioner Support
Embodied supervision for practitioners & facilitators holding deep transformational space for others

Practitioner Support offers embodied supervision and mentoring for Root Cause Practitioners, group facilitators, women’s circle holders and online teachers, where supervision isn’t built into the work.

Why Supervision Matters

We all have blind spots: When you're holding space for someone's deep pain or navigating a challenging relational or energetic dynamic, it can be hard to observe yourself with complete clarity. Our unconscious reactions over time can lead to ineffective care. Supervision helps you see what you can't see alone.

For client and community safety: Without regular reflection, it's easy to slip into an unhealthy dynamics, bad habits, or make decisions based on unprocessed assumptions rather than what's actually needed. Supervision catches this before it becomes a problem.

For your sustainability: Holding space without support can lead to compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma and burnout. When you're working for too long in isolation, decisions can start to feel heavy, and the stories you tell yourself aren't always true. Regular supervision gives you a safe place to release, debrief, reflect, digest, come back into alignment with yourself and ensure your self-care needs are met.

For professional development: Training teaches you a modality, whereas supervision teaches you to BE a more effective practitioner / group facilitator. The nuanced skills of discernment, presence, boundaries, trusting the process and deep attunement come from reflecting on real work with someone experienced. Also transformational work will bring you face to face with your own edges over and over. Which rather than being a problem, is indicating where you're next being asked to grow. Meeting these growth edges in your work with support, helps to cultivate deeper courage, skill and self-trust.

Because these times are asking more of us: Supporting others through collective uncertainty and rapid change requires practitioners, facilitators and teachers who are grounded, embodied, adaptive and well supported. It’s harder to do this work over the longer time effectively if you're carrying it all alone.

What makes Practitioner Support different?

Most supervision models aren't designed for the kind of relational, energetic, embodied, transformational space you're holding - and haven't yet adapted to meet the needs of online communities and programs where deep healing work is happening.

This supervision meets the full breadth of what you're actually holding:

  • The relational field between you and those you serve

  • What's yours to carry and what isn't

  • How your body is speaking to you about the work

  • The ethical nuances that don't have clear answers

  • How to stay present when everything in you wants to fix or rescue

  • What the work is asking you to integrate within yourself

Your whole body is part of the supervision. We'll track not just what happened in that session, but what you're noticing in your body as you describe it - because your somatic experience holds information your mind might miss. This practice cultivates trust in your embodied knowing, which deepens the transformational and healing nature of your work.

Hi, I'm Laurelle. With over 18 years of combined experience in counselling, mentoring, group facilitation, women’s circle work, Root Cause Practice and Supervision, I've been providing supervision for practitioners for over 7 years - including 5 years supervising groups and mentors in a not-for-profit and 2+ years supervising Root Cause Practitioners in depth in their 1:1 client and group work.

I understand the unique challenges of holding transformational space: the relational and energetic complexity, the responsibility, the ethical grey areas, and the isolation that can arise without ongoing support. I work with my whole body's wisdom, not just my mind and theoretical understanding. I support practitioners and facilitators to build safe, grounded connections with those they serve, navigate what surfaces in the work and prioritise their own wellbeing within the helping journey.
